The big migration
Hi everyone!
This week, I’ve moved my paid subscription from Substack to Beehiiv
What does this mean?
That if you were a paid subscriber here, you’re now a paid subscriber there.
All my free articles → I’ll keep sharing here at https://www.theeuropeanengineer.com/ (on substack - which, if you’re new to this, is a newsletter platform)
All my paid articles/guides to land jobs, will be shared on Beehiiv → basically Euro Top Tech Jobs becomes a separate, private newsletter. You can see the articles here
You’ll access EuroTopTechJobs.com job board as a paid sub of the Beehiiv newsletter
It’s quite simple though: you’ll just go to EuroTopTechJobs.com and you’ll have the job board there at that URL (if you’re subscribed and logged in):
If you’re not subscribed, you’ll see the landing page
Then, if you want access, you can just click “Get Access” and you’ll be redirected to the upgrade page of the Beehiiv newsletter
Then, you can just pay there, and you’ll AUTOMATICALLY get access to the job board.
This was actually the main reason for me to apply this change: because before I had to manually run scripts to grant access to the users, whereas now thanks to Beehiiv rich APIs I was able to automate all of that.
You subscribe → you access the job board right away
No waiting time. As it should be :)
Some other changes that I’ve implemented during the migration
A few other minor changes in the UI (like better styling), got rid of the light mode completely, added links for the private guides on the job board too, so you have everything in one place.
Final Remarks
Anyway, I’m quite happy of this update!!
It took me quite a bit of time to implement it and had to spend part of my Friday night debugging some migration failures in prod 😅
Sorry if you experienced any issue while using the product today!!
What happens if I was a paid sub?
Nothing: you’re now automatically migrated to Beehiiv: like before you were a paid sub of my Substack newsletter, now you are a paid sub of my beehiiv one.
This month, you’re technically on a free trial in beehiiv and still subbed on substack. But once the sub renews, you’ll lose access to the Substack paid sub, and you’ll be a paid sub of the beehiiv one. It’s quite smooth.
If there’s any issue / you encounter any problem
Just sent me an email and I’ll get on it. Not sure how active I’ll be over the weekend. If it’s not something major, I might get on it on Monday.
Backlog
There’s a backlog of things I want to work on next. But, as always, if you have any idea/recommendation/feature request, let me know!
Thank you to all of the paid supporters of my work!
I really hope you like the service: be it the job board or the private guides.
