As a career switcher i totally agree that even beaten down tech, is still better than majority of other industries one can get to.
The WLB and stress levels are definitely lower in tech. The sort of people that you interact with a generally less hassle to deal with than in other industries.
Yup. Also, tech is a relatively low risk career. There might be other endeavours that can seem more appealing nowadays, but they often rely on some fort of entrepreneurship. While tech gives you a lot of freedom and benefits while still having the security of being an employee. And compared to other professions, I agree with your observation.
